Ingredients for 4 people:
- 8 slices crusty bread
- 6 cloves garlic
- Salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 red pepper
- 200 g curd cheese or quark
- 2 tbsp olive paste
- Oregano
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- 1 mozzarella ball
- 2 tbsp pesto
Preparation:
Type 1:
- Place the slices of bread on the No Fat Grill and toast them until golden brown and crisp.
- Peel the garlic and rub it on both sides of each piece of toast.
- Season with salt and plenty of olive oil.
- Remove the stalk and seeds from the red pepper. Cut it into four pieces and grill it on the No Fat Grill for 4 minutes. Season with salt and place one piece on each of four bruschetta. Top with curd cheese and season with olive paste and oregano leaves.
Type 2:
- Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
- Slice the mozzarella ball.
- Place sliced cherry tomatoes as a base on the remaining bruschetta. Top with mozzarella and garnish with a little pesto.
Tips
- Drizzle the bruschetta with different kinds of olive oil. Some are fruitier and others are more bitter.
- You can top bruschetta with the ingredients you like most. Once they are assembled, just heat them up on the No Fat Grill and serve them hot.
